What do we do now?

This is the maiden voyage of me writing a blog. This is the place where I can post material that is not directly related to worship but still pertinent to being the church.

So for the first swing at things, I’d like to post some web links and ideas for life in the social distance time we find ourselves in. Just click on the links to go to those sites.

The Women’s Missionary Union has some great options for missions activities.

Ways to stay active

It is important as many of us will remain at home that we find ways to stay active, here are some ideas for a variety of levels. (shout out to Ann Cullison) Don’t overdo it.

At home exercise

Get fit at home

GoNoodle for families
Cosmic Kids yoga
Search “brain breaks” on YouTube (Koo Koo Kanga Roo and The Learning Station are fun ones)
Dance party!
Jump rope
Hula hoops
Any age
Lift “weights” (cans of vegetables, water bottles)
Yoga with Adriene (YouTube)

Ministry Opportunities

Your best ministry is going to be keeping up with one another via phone, facebook, email, video calls, texts, etc. Remember you represent Christ on social media the same way you do in person.

The church has a mobile food pantry set up on the east side right outside the double glass doors. You can drive by and pick up or donate. If you need me to come get items from you just contact me and I can pick them up off your porch at a scheduled time.

Check out the “Getting to Know UBC” underneath the Media tab on the home page to find out more about people in the church.

Prayer is always vital. If you have a prayer request you can either post it in the comments below or email me at jdunnok@gmail.com

Thank you for checking this out and we’ll see where it goes. Grace and Peace
