Lord's Supper This Sunday

This Sunday we will observe the Lord’s Supper virtually together as part of our morning worship service. All who have a relationship with Christ are invited to participate. Here are some practical things you need to know for this observance. UBC has pre-packaged wafer/juice cups available at the church . You can pick up how many you need Thursday and Friday 8-Noon or during a drive through disbursement on Sat. from 10-Noon. If you come Th. or Fri. just buzz in the double glass doors and pick up what you need. On Saturday just enter the parking lot on the North side and drive under the canopy on the South end. If you are not able to make it to the church either time please ask someone to pick up and drop off for you. If you know someone who is not getting out, contact them and ask them if you can get and drop off a cup for them. This is different but can be meaningful and worshipful. If you don’t participate “LIVE” feel free to do so when you are able to view the service. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can be reached by phone or email.

Thanks,

Justin

Sunday June 21st

It was great getting to see some familiar faces in the building last week. Unfortunately, given the rise in cases in the state this week it seems prudent to NOT have a larger group in worship this week. So, on Sunday morning worship leadership for the 8:30 and 11:00 services will be the only ones allowed in the building. Each service will be live streamed through www.ubcshawnee.org on YOUTUBE and broadcast on 102.3 in the parking lot. Mike Atchley worked hard this week to clean up the technical issues we had last week and both the internet and radio are up and running. Thank you again for your understanding and flexibility and please spread the word.

Blessings,

Pastor Justin

Sunday June 14th

This week we will begin offering the option for you to come into the building for worship service. One service will be at 8:30 and one at 11:00. Both services will be available through live stream online and in the parking lot on 102.3 FM.  As we take this next “next step” I would ask that you would think about the following,

Be Careful. Covid-19 is still among us and the possibility of contracting or transmitting the virus is very real. If you are in a high-risk category or simply do not fee comfortable about being out and around others please use one of the outside of the building options. Watching on the internet or staying in your car in the parking lot and tuning to 102.3 are both great ways to safely engage in worship. If you choose to come into the building please read these guidelines.

Be Considerate. Even if you might feel comfortable with more contact and/or not see the need for a mask, consider that others may not feel the same way. We want to do the best we can to take care of ourselves and others, so please wear a mask and adhere to the above guidelines. Masks will be available at the sanctuary entrances.

Be present. I want UBC to worship together. With technology and the hard work and flexibility of church volunteers we have multiple ways for that to happen. We will have some in the building, some on the internet, and some in the parking lot. But, by the unifying power of the Holy Spirit we can be together as one in worship of the Most High God. I hope you will join us in one of those three ways.

Please feel free to share this information with any and everyone.

May God Bless and Keep You.
